History
خارک از دهه ۱۳۴۰ با احداث پایانه اصلی صادرات نفت خام ایران، مهمترین پایانه نفتی خاورمیانه شد؛ در جنگ ایران و عراق هدف حملات مکرر هوایی عراق قرار گرفت و بخش بزرگی از ظرفیت آن آسیب دید، اما پس از جنگ بازسازی شد.
